Accenture: 8 of 10 Shoppers Concerned About Higher Food Prices

U.S. retailers will face significant barriers to raising prices in response to rising food and fuel costs, according to an Accenture survey. About 81 percent of shoppers said they were concerned about rising food prices and half said they have frequented restaurants less often during the past year. In addition, 37 percent of respondents said they were active users of daily deal websites, while about 40 percent reported clipping coupons.
