A&P Plans to Close 14 Stores
The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. (A&P), which has been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, announced plans to close 14 underperforming stores in four states. The closures, which are subject to court approval, are needed to “strengthen A&P's operating foundation and improve our performance,” CEO Sam Martin said in a release.
