Bartell Drugs nears operational milestone
Bartell Drugs is accelerating the pace of its expansion by opening its 68th store this month.
The retailer's newest store in Arlington, Wash., spans 14,671-square feet and features a full-service pharmacy with a drive-up window.
Product selections include a wide-array of popular cosmetics, personal care items, fresh foods and an extensive beer, wine and spirit selection to make one-stop shopping easy. Most notable is the large selection of locally made products including Oberto jerky, Joe Chocolates, and a bevy of local craft beers and regional wines.
“Bartells is very excited to be in Arlington,” said company CEO Kathi Lentzsch. “Our blend of convenience, service and a truly unique product selection—including more than 150 local brands—sets us apart.”
Lentzsch joined the company as CEO in January, offering more than three decades of retail experience with executive positions in leading companies including Pier 1 Imports and Cost Plus World Market.
The chain will host a Grand Opening event at the new store from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 21. Store guests will have the opportunity to win gift baskets, participate in product sampling, and receive a free, customized Arlington coffee tumbler containing Bartell Drugs’ gift cards—from $5 up to $500—to the first 200 visiting the store.
