Boxed loses B2B exec
One of Boxed's highest level executives is leaving the company after less than a year.
Behzad Soltani, the executive in charge of Boxed’s business-to-business division, is leaving the startup to take a C-level role at another company.
Soltani was appointed as VP and general manager of Boxed's business-to-business division in July. A Boxed spokesman confirmed Soltani’s departure to Recode.
“Behzad Soltani decided to leave the company and pursue other opportunities,” he said. “We wish him all the best. In his time with Boxed, he helped build a dedicated team focused on serving the needs of B2B customers across the United States.”
Boxed, an online wholesale retailer, is being considered for acquisition by a number of retailers, with Kroger and Amazon emerging as major players, according to Bloomberg.
