Circle K's flagship store opening

Circle K launches a new "flagship" store in Illinois.
Circle K is opening a new convenience store in Rockford, Ill., that features hand-made pizza, gourmet hot dogs and made-to-go breakfast burritos.
The branch includes Circle K miles gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as quality products and services customers have come to expect from Circle K. A self-serve espresso machine that grinds fresh coffee beans, heats water, and steams and froths milk to perfection to serve a great tasting coffee in less than 60 seconds.
According to a news release from Circle K, shifting to healthier food options, fresh on-the-go snacks and gourmet coffee beverages has become a core strategy of Circle K as shoppers. Millennials in particular spend more money at convenience stores. According to a New Product Development Group’s Eating Patterns in America study Convenience stores accounted for 11 percent of Millennial food and beverage stops in 2014, up from nearly 8 percent in 2006.
Many convenience stores have been upping their fresh-food options. Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores recently launched a line of sandwiches and wraps for breakfast and lunch that are made fresh and baked daily in their stores.
Circle K currently operates 15,000 stores.
