CPG Industry Advocates Responsible Public Policy Solutions
Random House Dictionary defines public policy as "the fundamental policy on which laws rest, especially policy not yet enunciated in specific rules."
Throughout the United States and the world, we are experiencing a zenith of public policy activity that has far-reaching consequences for the consumer packaged goods industry and our billions of consumers around the globe.
GMA and its member companies are proud to work in collaboration with an extensive network of stakeholders–policymakers, nongovernmental organizations and thought leaders from many disciplines–to develop and promote responsible public policy solutions that benefit our industry, our consumers and the world.

From food safety to health and well-being, sustainability and ingredient safety, we have a great story to tell. We all benefit when the best leaders and most impressive thinkers convene to advance our collective thinking to an even higher level.
That is why GMA created the GMA Growth and Public Policy Summit. From July 16 to 18, hundreds of CPG CEOs and senior executives, policymakers from Congress and the executive branch, and legislative and regulatory policy experts will convene in Washington, D.C., to discuss the public policy environment that impacts our industry and to develop successful strategies for helping to shape the public policy environment of the future.
With a newly elected Congress in place and 2014 politics already on the horizon, the Summit presents the perfect opportunity for our collective industry–manufacturers, retailers, suppliers and knowledge partners–to tell our story, to impact the public policy discussions of today and to develop the relationships that will help us successfully navigate future challenges. There is no better time or place for us to connect with the public policy leaders that matter the most than at the GMA Growth and Public Policy Summit.
I hope you will be able to join us in Washington, D.C., in July. For more information, please contact Logan Kastner, GMA director of member relations and services, at [email protected].
