CVS Insurance Drops Viagra, 27 Other Drugs

The drugs will still be available at CVS pharmacies, but customers who want to pay through Caremark insurance will have to use generic equivalents or other alternatives. In the case of Pfizer’s Viagra, that will be Cialis, another erectile dysfunction remedy, marketed by Eli Lilly. This brings to 90 the number of brand-name drugs Caremark has dropped since 2012.
