Geo-fencing

Feature in a software program that uses GPS or RFID to define geographical boundaries. An administrator can set up triggers so that when a device enters (or exits) the boundaries defined by the administrator, an alert is issued.

Internet-based end-to-end integration system that enables secure and real-time access to product information.

GPS-enabled shopping trolley

Shopping trolley with a fixed GPS device for tracking in-store customers.

Cloud computing environment that blends on-premises, private cloud and public cloud services.

Hyper-converged technology

Software-defined IT infrastructure that virtualizes all the elements of conventional hardware-defined systems, including virtualized computing, a virtualized SAN and virtualized networking at a minimum.

Highly personalized promotion and marketing activities based on actionable and unlinked customer data, using analytics to determine the customer experience.
