Dollar General Inks Delivery Partnership with DoorDash

Consumers can browse and shop for items from Dollar General on the DoorDash marketplace app or website for same-day delivery, which is usually within an hour. The delivery is currently available at more than 9,000 Dollar General stores, and the discount retailer plans to expand the partnership to more than 10,000 stores by December 2021. 

Dollar General piloted a partnership with DoorDash in August 2021 with roughly 600 stores in rural and metropolitan communities.

The partnership comes as DoorDash has skyrocketed in demand since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The delivery services company began delivering groceries with major chains in 2020 as Americans spent more time at home and avoided shopping in-person.

As part of the launch of the partnership, customers will receive 30% off their first Dollar General order of $20 or more with the code DOLLAR.
