Ex-Target VP to lead Fiesta Mart
Fiesta Mart has appointed Target veteran Sid Keswani as its CEO, replacing Mike Byars in the role.
Keswani has an extensive retail background, coming most recently from Austin, Texas-based real estate developer Aspen Heights, where he was COO for three years. He previously spent 19 years at Minneapolis-based Target Corp., where he rose to SVP. After Target, he was SVP of operations for Corpus Christi, Texas-based Susser Holdings, which operates 625 retail stores and manages more than $4.5 billion in revenue.
During his tenure at Susser, Keswani helped add more than 125 stores to the portfolio via acquisitions and new store growth in just 18 months. His innate ability to expand and manage assets in a streamlined fashion aligns well with the strategic growth plan for Fiesta.
“We are very excited that Sid is joining Fiesta at this time in our growth strategy,” said Ken Brotman, managing partner at ACON, Fiesta Mart’s owner since 2015., with offices in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. “He brings a great deal of relevant experience and skills to Fiesta as we look forward to our next phase of growth. We’d also like to thank Mike Byars, who joined Fiesta in 2015, for his service in shepherding our brand through a time of great change while planting the seeds for growth that will continue to serve us for many years to come. We wish Mike well in his future endeavors.”
Houston-based Fiesta Mart operates 60-plus stores in the Houston, Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, markets.
