Goya Foods Grows as Hispanic Population Expands
All Hispanics aren't alike, with Cubans in South Florida preferring black beans and rice, while Puerto Ricans in the Orlando area consume more kidney beans and fruit juices, a Goya Foods executive told Tampa Bay Online. Goya Foods has grown along with the U.S. Hispanic population, and the company currently distributes 1,500 products to retailers from 16 warehouses and distribution centers. It recently introduced frozen foods and soft drinks such as malt soda, coconut water and nectars, the story said.
