Grocery Shoppers Willing to Try New Stores

Three-quarters of grocery shoppers responding to an online poll said they would try a new local store, especially if it was an attractive size, according to the 2012 National Grocers Association Consumer Panel Report. The percentage of respondents indicating price was a primary factor in choosing a supermarket declined to 39 percent in the recent survey, which was conducted in November and December 2011, from 51 percent in 2009, the National Grocers Association reported.
