Klarna Unveils Eco-Friendly Pop-Up

From July 23-24, consumers can shop Klarna’s mission-driven partners, including fashion and clean beauty brands, at Klarna Oasis in Los Angeles.

Klarna, a Swedish fintech company that provides online and in-store financial services including buy now, pay later, is opening a U.S. pop-up shop in Los Angeles focused on supporting its mission-driven merchant partners.

Open July 23-24, "Klarna Oasis” will offer exclusive discounts on fashion, beauty and accessory brands, such as Lunya, Rebecca Minkoff, RE/DONE, Christy Dawn, Kjaer Weis, Westman Atelier and The Detox Market. The discounts and collection of partner brands will also be available online via a dedicated hub within the company’s website.

"We're excited to bring the smooth Klarna shopping experience to life for the first time in Los Angeles, spotlighting mission-driven merchant partners that support a range of important causes from sustainability in fashion to clean beauty," said Raji Behal, global head of partner success at Klarna, in a release.

Klarna Oasis aims to offer a one-stop shop to purchase conscious fashion and clean beauty products, all available for Klarna's popular, interest-free "Pay in four" increments option at checkout.

With sustainability a core focus for the pop-up, shoppers will also be able to donate gently used shoes and clothing in exchange for an on-site discount in partnership with nonprofit Soles4Souls.

To support the launch of the in-store experience, additional programming includes a fireside chat on the importance of regenerative agriculture within the sustainable fashion movement on July 23. Speakers include Raji Behal, global head of partner success at Klarna; Aras Baskauskas, co-founder and CEO of Christy Dawn; and Jasmyne Spencer, professional soccer player at Angel City Football Club, of which Klarna is a founding partner.
