Market by Macy’s to Host Pop-Ups for Teen Entrepreneurs

Macy’s smaller, “off-mall” format store, Market by Macy’s, has partnered with Texas-based nonprofit organization Target Evolution to launch two-day pop-up shops at the retailer’s Flower Mound, Texas, location.
Target Evolution’s Trail Blaze Shops sell items created by young entrepreneurs (ranging from 12-19 years old). Currently, the organization operates standalone retail shops in two shopping malls, and landed the Market by Macy’s pop-up partnership as it was looking to expand further, according to a news release.
As part of the partnership, Market by Macy’s locations in Texas will open two-day Trail Blaze Shop pop-ups. Teens and youth can join the event by signing up to be featured in Market by Macy's at The Highlands of Flower Mound shopping center in Texas via Target Evolution’s webiste or at Trail Blaze Shops.

Trail Blaze Shops aim to provide young people with an opportunity to earn money, while also learn about entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Target Evolution is currently looking forward to establishing retail stores in the top 10 cities within the next two years, per the release.
Macy’s has only opened a handful of Market by Macy’s stores, which are located in smaller shopping centers (versus malls), since debuting the concept in 2020. The format, typically spanning 20,000 square feet, offers a curated assortment of Macy’s branded fashion within an easy-to-shop and open environment. Market by Macy’s offers product categories, such as apparel for men, women, and kids, home, beauty and giftables.
