Men Increasingly Grocery Shopping for Family

One-fifth of fathers with preschool-aged children and working wives were the primary caregivers at home, shouldering more household duties like grocery shopping, according to an article in National Retail Federation's Stores Magazine, reports Christian Science Monitor. Nielsen data in 2011 found that men are shopping more than ever, while the St. Louis Post-Dispatch cites statistics showing that 31 percent of grocery shopping is being done by men, up from about 14 percent in the 1980s.
