The honorees will be celebrated in January at the NRF Foundation Honors event in New York City.

The honorees are:

  • Joel Anderson, president and CEO of Five Below
  • Chris Kempczinsk, president and CEO of McDonald's Corporation
  • Neela Montgomery, executive vice president of CVS Health and president of CVS Pharmacy
  • Sumit Sign, CEO of Chewy
  • Julie Wainwright, founder and CEO of The RealReal

Over the next several weeks, NRF will feature one of the honorees, giving an inside look into how the leader built their career in retail and their impact on the industry. NRF has raised funds for educational programs and resources to connect people with careers in retail through the NRF Foundation Honors since 2015.

“This year’s honorees have each led their companies through incredible changes,” Jeff Gennette, chairman and CEO of Macy’s, Inc. and chairman of the NRF Foundation Board of Directors, said in a statement. “They have remained steadfast in their commitment to their teams and communities, and I am proud to recognize The List 2022’s influence on our industry.”
