Primark to open second Chicagoland store in October
- Primark will open its new store at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois, on October 12.
- The 37,000-square-foot store is the second in Illinois and is located less than an hour from Chicago in the largest mall in the state.
- The Woodfield store will bring Primark to 22 U.S. stores and more than 434 stores in 16 countries.
Primark, the international clothing retailer that offers quality fashion at value prices, will open a new store at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois, on October 12. The store will offer Midwest shoppers more than 37,000 square feet of retail selling space with the latest fashion trends and essentials for the whole family as well as homewares and beauty. The store is the second in Illinois and is located less than an hour from Chicago in the largest mall in the state.
"With the success of our North State Street store in Chicago, we see a huge demand from Chicagoland shoppers, and are pleased to soon open our doors in Schaumburg, providing even more access to Primark's high-quality products at prices anyone can get behind," said Kevin Tulip, Primark’s president, U.S. "With this expansion in the market, we anticipate making quite the splash at Woodfield Mall, and are gearing up to surprise and delight shoppers with an opening weekend and a holiday season they won't soon forget!"
The Schaumburg store opening is part of the brand's plan to reach 60 U.S. stores by 2026 as Retail Leader previously reported. The Woodfield store will bring Primark to 22 U.S. stores and more than 434 stores in 16 countries. On September 7, Primark will open a new 36,000-square-foot store at Arundel Mills in Hanover, Maryland – the first Primark store in the state.
To help shoppers find what they're looking for at Woodfield Mall, Primark's website allows customers to browse its product offering and check which products are available in their local store. Primark shoppers also are now able to opt into email communications for Primark's latest product drops, style inspiration and store opening dates.
