Report: Consumers Cut Back On Retailer-Made Meals
About 38 percent of U.S. grocery shoppers said they currently buy retailer meal solutions (RMS) each week, down from 42 percent in 2010, according to a Technomic report. Half of consumers said the quality of prepared foods has improved since 2010, but about two-fifths said they would like more name-brand foods, the research firm said.
