Former Walmart and Dolllar General executive Lawrence Jackson joins JBT Corporation board.

Former Walmart and Dollar General executive Lawrence Jackson joined the board of directors of global technology solutions provider JBT Corportation on March 9. Jackson previously served as president and CEO of the global procurement division for Walmart, president and COO at Dollar General and SVP of supply operations at Safeway.

SpartanNash has promoted Thomas E. Swanson to EVP and general manager of corporate retail from his role as SVP/general manager of corporate retail.

Jack Link’s Protein Snacks CEO Troy Link named food and beverage industry veteran Kevin McAdams to the role of North American president at the family owned company. Prior to Jack Link's McAdams was president at Mizkan America, Schwan's Consumer Brands and Pabst Brewing Company.  He also held operating roles with Red Bull North America, The Coca-Cola Company, Frito-Lay North America and The Earthgrains Company.

Convenience retailer Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., said its president and CEO Brian Hannasch joined the CEO ACTION pledge, a coalition pledging to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace. Hannasch is among more than 900 CEOs that have come together to join the initiative. The decision to join the pledge movement fell on the one-year anniversary of the formation of Couche-Tard's Women's Council, a business resource group with the mission of creating winning conditions for women within the corporation led by chief human resources officer Ina Strand.

Anders Bering joined Mars, Inc., as vice president global public affairs. He most recently served as vice president of corporate affairs for Carlsberg Group.

Gap Inc. named Sonia Syngal as its new CEO. She previously served as CEO of Gap’s Old Navy Division since 2016. The company also said the board member Bobby Martin would assume the role of executive chairman on March 23. The company also named former Bloomin’ Brands CEO Elizabeth Smith and Regal Entertainment CEO Amy Miles to its board.
