Sephora is partnering with DoorDash to expand its on-demand delivery options, the retailer announced this week.

The partnership will allow Sephora to offer on-demand delivery from over 500 locations in the U.S. and Canada, DoorDash said in a Nov. 9 release. Customers can expect to receive their deliveries in under an hour, the release said.

To access Sephora products, shoppers can open the DoorDash app and search for the retailer. Shoppers can choose from Sephora’s range of products, sorted by category and collection on DoorDash. There is also an option for shoppers to denote they’re ordering a gift and include a digital card for the recipient, according to the release.

“At Sephora, our clients are at the heart of our business, and we hear loud and clear that on-demand delivery is what they’re looking for,” said Nadine Graham, senior vice president and general manager of e-commerce at Sephora, in the release. “Our partnership with DoorDash was a natural next step in the continued evolution of ease and convenience while delivering best-in-class experiences.”

Sephora customers ordering through DoorDash can earn points via the retailer’s Beauty Insider loyalty program by linking their accounts on the DoorDash app.

The beauty retailer this year has continued to expand its partnerships that furnish same-day delivery. In September, Sephora announced an unlimited annual same-day delivery service called “Sephora Same-Day Unlimited.” The service costs $49 annually, Retail Leader previously reported. One-off, same-day deliveries cost $6.95 under the program, and Sephora customers can try the unlimited option free for 30 days.

The retailer said it conducted a survey in June that showed 63% of beauty shoppers were interested in same-day delivery services should they run out of product and need a replacement, PYMTS reported.

The retailer has partnered with numerous delivery platforms. It first offered same-day delivery through Instacart in September 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Sephora, same-day delivery orders are now fulfilled through partnerships with the delivery companies Uber, Shipt and DoorDash. Sephora was the first beauty retailer to partner with Shipt when the companies joined forces in March 2022.
