Partnering with RELEX Solutions, a provider of unified retail planning solutions, Sephora is aiming to improve its demand forecasting and automated replenishment. The retailer currently operates 2,500 stores and 36 e-commerce websites, RIS News reported.
The partnership comes as retailers are looking for ways to improve operations amid supply chain crunches and disruptions across the industry. Better forecasting could help ensure the beauty retailer has the right products stocked on its shelves at the right time.
Leveraging AI will help improve product availability and reduce inventory turnover, according to Sephora. The retailer will also have better control over their management of promotions, slow-moving products, new product introductions and product ramp-downs.
