Super Bowl Snacking a Big Opportunity for Grocers
A majority of Super Bowl watchers (54 percent) plan to snack throughout the entire game, suggested the third annual Supervalu Snack Down Survey by Harris Interactive, although only 7 percent plan to increase their snack budget from 2011. Eighty percent will get their party food from supermarkets, with dips, spreads and chicken wings ranking tops in popularity.
