Supervalu to Grow Sustainability Program
Supervalu plans to add 250 locations to a sustainability program that aims to reduce 90 percent of a store's landfill waste by using the discarded materials for other purposes, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported. The Eden Prairie-based retailer, which has a total of 4,300 locations, has been operating the sustainability program in 50 stores.
