- With TikTok Shop, consumers can now shop tagged products directly from videos and livestreams in their feeds.
- Retailers can create custom product collections directly on their profile page.

The social-media giant finally launched its e-commerce platform in the U.S. on September 12. TikTok Shop will now bring shoppable videos and live streams directly to the platform’s For You feeds across the country – and give brands, retailers and creators the ability to sell directly through shoppable content on the TikTok app.
TikTok’s 150 million U.S. consumers place it in the top five social networks used in the U.S., after Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, according to Statista. The social-media platform has been testing an e-commerce feature since late last year.
With TikTok Shop, consumers can now shop tagged products directly from videos and livestreams in their feeds, the social media platform said in a news post. TikTok Shop will curate content so retailers can connect with highly engaged consumers based on their interests to deliver a seamless shopping experience. Consumers can brown product tiles, read reviews and purchase directly from a retailer's profile. Retailers can create custom product collections directly on their profile page.
On the Shop tab, retailers, brands and creators can display their products on a new product marketplace and consumers can search and discover promotions. Product recommendations are showcased via product listings and shoppable content, and consumers can manage orders, all within the tab.
Creators also now can connect with sellers through new commission-based product marketing opportunities. Additionally, TikTok Shop ads allow sellers to promote their TikTok Shops. The social media platform also launched Fulfilled by TikTok — a new logistics solution in which TikTok Shop stores, picks, packs and then ships sellers' products to customers.
TikTok also introduced a new TikTok Shop App & Service Store, which extends the services and support offer in order to ease operations for businesses. TikTok offers retailers the ability to connect directly from their favorite commerce platforms. For example, Shopify merchants can manage their TikTok Shop directly from Shopify through the TikTok for Shopify App. TikTok also offers direct integrations and connectors with WooCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce, Magento and other leading commerce platforms. Retailers may also integrate TikTok Shop with these leading commerce platforms through a variety of connector apps such as AfterShip, Silk, SKUIQ, CEDCommerce and ShoppeDance.
For omni-channel retailers, TikTok partnered with leading multi-channel platforms including Channel Advisor, Feedonomics, Productsup, Pipe17, GoDataFeed, SellerCloud, Linnworks, ChannelEngine, ShoppingFeed and Cymbio.
TikTok works with third-party payment platforms to facilitate transactions on TikTok Shop, and all TikTok protected U.S. user data is stored in the U.S. and managed by U.S. Digital Service.
