TreeHouse Foods Reports Higher Sales, Profits

TreeHouse Foods reported first-quarter net income of $22.1 million, up from $19.8 million a year ago on a 6 percent climb in revenue to $523.8 million, Reuters said. While the results surpassed market expectations, the company cut its original estimate of 8 percent to 9 percent for full-year revenue growth, due to what chief executive Sam Reed called "weakness in the retail grocery environment," the story said.
