Cub has teamed up with retail media company CitrusAd to launch its own network by integrating with CitrusAd’s technology. The partnership enables CPG companies to advertise on Cub’s network. Cub’s first-party data from its website and loyalty program will combine with CitrusAd’s algorithms to identify shopper preferences and serve relevant sponsored product ads to optimize campaigns and reduce ad waste, benefiting Cub suppliers.

CitrusAd is a popular partner in retail media, working with many major retailers to set up their own networks. In the last year, CitrusAd has teamed up with Price Chopper,Lowe’s, Gopuff and many more. Retail media has exploded over the past few years, inspiring retailers to launch their own networks that can influence sales.

“Our work with CitrusAd provides our supplier community with a fully transparent, self-serve platform for e-commerce marketing automation and personalization with clear ROI analytics,” said Chad Bersie, director of e-commerce for Cub. “Marketers have always looked for closed loop analytics. We are thrilled to provide CitrusAd’s direct measurement tool that clearly demonstrates clicks from each ad campaign to cart sales.”

Cub operates 79 grocery stores and 28 Wine & Spirits and Liquor locations in Minnesota, as well as a grocery store in Illinois.
