The Vitamin Shoppe shakes up executive team
The Vitamin Shoppe is continuing to shake up its executive ranks by naming a new head merchant.
The retailer announced that David Mock, who has served as a consultant to the company since January, has officially joined the company as Executive Vice President - Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer, effective July 30.
Mock brings over three decades of experience in retail transformation most recently as President of D Mock Retail Rebuild Ltd. From 2014 until 2016 he served as Chief Merchandising & Marketing Officer for Earth Fare. Mock served as Senior Vice President Merchandising, Global Sourcing and Innovation Officer for Canadian Tire Retail from 2012 through 2013. His other retail experience included; Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Hardlines, Consumables, Pharmacy, Haba/Cosmetics for Zellers from 2008 to 2012 and various positions at Loblaw Companies Limited, from 1983 through 2007 with his last position being Senior Vice President Food Merchandising and Marketing.
The company also recently acquired a new Chief Executive Officer Sharon M. Leite, effective Aug. 27. The Vitamin Shoppe has been searching for a new Chief Executive Officer since February when it announced that its former CEO Colin Watts would leave the company “by mutual agreement.”

The Vitamin Shoppe operates 775 stores located in 45 states including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
