Wakefern Grocery Co-op Reports 8.5% Climb in Retail Sales

Retail cooperative Wakefern Food Corp., which owns the ShopRite and PriceRite retail banners, reported $12.8 billion in retail sales for the fiscal year ended Oct. 1, up 8.5 percent from the prior year, while the company also generated $9.5 billion in warehouse sales, Progressive Grocer reported. The company also services 46 co-op members who own about 200 ShopRite stores.
