Walmart shakes up digital leadership team
Walmart is restructuring its executive leadership team in order to streamline its brick-and-mortar stores and online operations.
According to Reuters and CNBC, two memos sent to employees on Friday from Marc Lore, president & CEO Walmart e-commerce U.S., and Doug McMillon, Walmart's president and CEO, explain changes that blend leadership for stores and online.
One of the changes involves the departure of Karenann Terrell, who will leave her role as chief information officer on Feb. 24. Terrell's departure is the latest high-level female executive to leave Walmart this month, after Sam's Club CEO Rosalind Brewer stepped down last week.
