Walmart's Low Prices Are Important, but Consumers Still Shop Around
Nine out of 10 shoppers who are familiar with Walmart's “everyday low prices” slogan said the philosophy was “extremely” or “very” important to them, yet more than half said they also shop at other retailers to get the best price, according to a ClickIQ study. More than 60 percent of respondents who had shopped at Walmart during the past month also shopped for groceries and household items at other grocery stores. About 39 percent said they had shopped at Target, 37 percent at dollar stores, 35 percent at drug stores, 26 percent at Sam's Club and 23 percent at Kroger.
