Dollar Tree is hiring for thousands of full- and part-time associates and managers across the nation as the company, under its Dollar Tree and Family Dollar brands, expands in 2021.
The hiring spree comes as the demand for discount retailers booms, with the dollar store category leading store openings in recent data from Coresight Research. In fact, about half of the announced openings in 2021 so far came from Dollar Tree, which is planning to open 600 new stores across its two brands this year, and Dollar General, which announced 1,050 new stores.
Dollar Tree is hiring for full- and part-time managers, cashiers and stockers at its stores, as well as order fillers, equipment operators, maintenance, warehouse associates and management at its distribution centers, Progressive Grocer reported. The retailer, which operates 15,400 stores in the U.S., offers its store managers a performance-based reward system called the Store Manager Bonus Program at all its Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores. Full-time distribution center associates are also offered competitive benefits, and the company recently introduced a “pay-any-day” program to all its associates. The voluntary program allows employees to advance their payday earnings.
“With a competitive compensation package and a variety of shifts and flexible schedules, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar are seeking thousands of motivated individuals to support our stores and distribution centers as we provide great value to millions of families across the country in clean and convenient shopping environments,” Betty Click, chief human resources officer, said in a statement. “As a leader in value retail, we are focused on training and talent development, and with two distinguished brands, we offer many career opportunities within a stable, growing organization that is committed to providing associates with a safe, positive and professional work environment.”
