BJ’s Wholesale Club is continuing its efforts to drive online shopper traffic.
The club retailer is integrating PayPal and PayPal Credit into its e-commerce platform so that BJ’s members can pay for their virtual cart without having to constantly enter their payment information. The ability to use the PayPal OneTouch system will allow for consumers to log into their account without having to type in their email and password.
"We're committed to making shopping easier and more convenient for our members, which is why we're excited to partner with PayPal," said Rafeh Masood, senior vice president and Chief Digital Officer at BJ's Wholesale Club. "With PayPal, members now have even more payment options when shopping on BJs.com, saving time and money."
PayPal is the latest addition to BJ’s digital makeup, as the popular grocer has also integrated a Pick Up in Club option, as well as Add-to-Cart digital coupons and the BJ’s mobile app, which launched this past May. Within that same month, the retailer also expanded its pilot of mobile deli ordering to Massachusetts and Rhode Island, letting members select their premium deli meats and cheeses along with desired thickness and place an order with their selected club. They also implemented a new “discover” feature in their app, which allows customers to explore new products and easily swipe right to add to a wishlist or left to dismiss a product.
PayPal’s convenience has been recognized by hundreds of other retailers who also accept PayPal as an option for their customers on online orders, such as PetCo and ULTA Beauty.
BJ’s is currently headquartered in Westborough, Mass. and operates 215 stores and 134 BJ’s gas stations within 16 states along the U.S. east coast.
