Casey's keeps growing and growing

By Gina Acosta - 11/30/2017

Casey's General Store is continuing to invest in and grow its footprint with a 2,000th store in Russellville, Ken.

The 4,600-square-foot store is located at 490 West 9th Street. It features six pump islands dispensing various fuel types. The store will also offer Casey's pizza, a fresh sub sandwich station, numerous bakery items and a wide variety of offerings at fountain and coffee stations.

Customers can utilize Casey's mobile app and online website for on-the-go ordering, coupons, discounts, games and more.

"We are excited to open our 2000th store," said Terry Handley, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Reaching this milestone is a testament to the Company's consistent story of growth over time, and we look forward to expanding the Casey's brand into the future."

Casey's has been growing its business in spite of the somewhat weak retail environment. It opened 48 new stores in fiscal 2017, acquired 22 more, and set the framework for geographic expansion via the completion of its Terre Haute, Ind., distribution center.

Casey's General Stores operates convenience stores in 15 states throughout the Midwest. Casey's is currently the fourth largest convenience store chain, and the fifth largest pizza chain in the United States.
