Discount retailer Dollar Tree has teamed with Relex Solutions to optimize demand forecasting and replenishment operations across Dollar Tree and Family Dollar brands.
At a time when consumer concerns about supply chain shortages are at an all-time high, the cloud-native forecasting and replenishment solutions are meant to assist the discount retailer harness data, analytics and automation to streamline operations and achieve on-shelf availability.
“Relex has proven to be more configurable than other solutions in its field, allowing our planners to have full visibility into, and control of, our supply chain,” Andy Paisley, chief information officer at Dollar Tree, said in a press release. “It also empowers us to innovate, try new ideas and evolve our use of the solution over time to continuously meet changing business needs.”
According to Frank Lord, Chief Revenue Officer at Relex, the platform provider is ideally positioned to supply such solutions for rising businesses such as Dollar Tree and Family Dollar.
This collaboration comes as Dollar Tree is expanding its Dollar Tree Plus program. This adds a multi-price range to its products and new Combo Store formats, which combine Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores under one roof.
The Relex solution will be implemented across all of Dollar Tree’s 15,800 shops and 26 distribution hubs in North America to increase collaboration between store and central planning teams.
