Domestic Asian Population Soars in 10 Years

The U.S. Census Bureau estimates the Asian population in the United States totaled 17.3 million in 2010, representing a 46 percent increase from the 2000 Census and a faster growth rate than any other major race group experienced. California lead the nation with an Asian population of 5.6 million in the 2010 Census, followed by New York with 1.6 million.
