Duane Reade Looks to Fresh Food for Growth

Since drug-store giant Walgreens acquired it two years ago, New York retailer Duane Reade has launched an “aggressive rollout plan” that includes store remodels and a new emphasis on fresh food, reported Crain’s New York Business. Food products including store brand Good & Delish products represent about one-third of Duane Reade's sales, the story said.
