The Honest Company gains a new Chief Marketing Officer in hopes of promoting the brand’s new innovation initiatives.
The company announced Shannon Pruitt as the company's new chief marketing officer. In this role, she will oversee brand marketing, creative, content and marketing communications for the company. Pruitt is the former Chief Content Officer at Carat (Dentsu Aegis Network), and President of The Story Lab, Pruitt joins The Honest Company with extensive experience in the areas of integrated, omni-channel marketing, brand-building and innovative brand story creation, said the company.
"As we continue to focus our efforts on two categories where global consumers and retailers are demanding more natural offerings – baby and beauty – we know talent will continue to drive our company's momentum and growth," said Nick Vlahos, Chief Executive Officer of The Honest Company. "With her extensive marketing, brand building, digital and entertainment background, Pruitt will bring a fresh perspective to our company as we take our brand global."
In June, the company announced that it has raised a $200 million strategic minority investment from L Catterton. According to the company, the investment will accelerate The Honest Company’s innovation initiatives as well as provide access to operational capabilities that will bolster its supply chain and global reach.
“L Catterton is the right partner for The Honest Company based on its expertise and extensive resources which will fuel our evolution into an iconic global brand,” said Nick Vlahos, The Honest Company Chief Executive Officer. “We will continue to execute against our strategy, which includes focusing our business on the baby and beauty categories. This investment will enhance our next chapter and accelerate the realization of our vision for the future.”
