Kraft Foods to Call Spinoff Company Mondelez International

Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft Foods Inc. plans to name its spinoff snack food company Mondelez International Inc., which was suggested by employees, Crain's Chicago Business said. While the name is subject to shareholder approval, the company has the ticker symbol MDLZ on reserve, the story said. In addition, Kraft said it will base the new company in Deerfield, Ill., while keeping its North American grocery company headquartered in the suburb as well.
