Kroger CFO: Center Store is Central


Mike Schlotman said center-store growth is a priority for Kroger because it amounts to half the company’s business, while produce is only 10 percent. Schlotman said improvements in center-store products include coffee and natural/organic products, especially store brands. On the other hand, he said, Kroger has far to go in offering hot prepared meals.
