Retail Leader joins Retail Technology group as part of new EnsembleIQ alignment

- EnsembleIQ has launched two groups — U.S. Grocery and Convenience and Retail Technology.
- The Retail Technology group includes Retail Leader, Retail info Systems and Consumer Goods Technology.
- The U.S. Grocery and Convenience Group includes Progressive Grocer, Convenience Stores News and Store Brands.
EnsembleIQ, the parent company and publisher of Retail Leader, has introduced two groups aimed at expanding opportunities that power business growth across industries: U.S. Grocery and Convenience and Retail Technology.
Both groups combine several EnsembleIQ brands. The U.S. Grocery and Convenience group includes Progressive Grocer, Convenience Store News and Store Brands. The Retail Technology group includes Retail Info Systems, Consumer Goods Technology and Retail Leader.
The U.S. Grocery and Convenience group will be helmed by Paula Lashinsky, who has been promoted to senior vice president and group publisher. Lashinksy was previously the vice president and brand director of Convenience Store News. The Retail Technology group will be led by Albert Guffanti, vice president and group publisher, who already led Retail Info Systems and Consumer Goods Technology.
“Uniting operations of these industry-leading brands will further enhance the quality and accessibility of their trusted business intelligence offerings,” said Jennifer Litterick, EnsembleIQ CEO, in a March 30 release. “Our U.S. Grocery and Convenience and Retail Technology groups can also now even more efficiently and effectively provide suppliers and service providers with creative marketing solutions and impactful event experiences connecting them with our business-building communities across industry sectors.”
According to EnsembleIQ, the U.S. Grocery and Convenience group will offer email newsletters, strategic print offerings, marking services and educational events that include:
- Convenience Foodservice Exchange.
- Progressive Grocer GenNext.
- Store Brands Industry Forms.
- Top Women in Convenience.
- Top Women in Grocery.
- Industry Week.
The Retail Technology group will also offer email newsletters, marketing services and educational events that include:
- Analytics Unite
- Consumer Goods Sales and Marketing Summit
- League of Leaders
- A new, upcoming Value Chain Technology Event.
Retail Leader will continue offering Retail Leader Pro, a subscription product targeted toward industry professionals across retail and the CPG industries. The subscription offers exclusive and actionable critical insights and analyst perspectives on new retail developments and emerging trends across the industry.
Both groups will combine to offer a July GroceryTech event that will provide technology and grocery executives insights on building a technology infrastructure to profitability serve consumers now and into the future.
To help oversee the changes, Joe Territo has been promoted to EnsembleIQ’s chief strategy officer and Julie Ball has been promoted to EnsembleIQ’s vice president of audience development, reporting to Derek Etsey, EnsembleIQ’s chief operating officer, the release said.
