Study Shows Self-Checkout Increases Theft

08/15/2016

The study by professors at England’s University of Leicester looked at 12 million shopping trips in the U.S., Britain, the Netherlands and Belgium. Problems included employees too overwhelmed to monitor shoppers’ activities, and stores reluctant to press charges.
