Walmart's Grocery Segment Accounts for 55% of U.S. Sales
Grocery accounted for 55 percent of Walmart's U.S. division sales in the year ended January 31, 2012, up from 53 percent a year earlier, while hard-goods lines and apparel declined in share, according to company data filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Grocery and consumables also accounted for 55 percent of Sam's Club sales, the same as the prior year.
